This page explains what happens to your information when you use podmovingcost.com: the cost calculator, the quote-request links, and the contact form. It covers this domain only, not PODS, U-Box, 1-800-PACK-RAT, or any provider site you reach by clicking through from here. Last updated June 17, 2026.

What the cost calculator does and does not send us

The calculator on the home page runs entirely inside your browser. The distance, home size, ZIP code, and storage length you enter are used to compute a result on your own device and are never transmitted to our servers or stored by us in any form.

What we collect when you request a quote or write to us

Clicking through to a provider's quote form hands your information to that provider, under their own privacy terms, not ours. If you use our contact form instead, we receive the name, email address, and message you type in, so we can reply and, where it applies, look into a figure you flagged as out of date.

Cookies, ads, and how Google fits in

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to decide which ads to show you, based on your browsing across this site and others. You can turn off personalized ads at Google's Ads Settings, adssettings.google.com, and see the broader list of participating companies at www.aboutads.info.

Site measurement

We run Google Analytics to see which guides get read and which links get clicked, so we know where to spend time updating figures. The data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify a specific visitor. If you would rather not be counted, the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on works here the same as anywhere else.

Consent choices if you are in the EU, UK, or Switzerland

Visitors browsing from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland see a cookie banner on their first visit and can accept or decline non-essential cookies there. Clearing your browser cookies resets that choice on your next visit. If local law gives you a right to access, correct, or delete information we hold from a contact-form submission, reach us through the contact page and we will take care of it directly.

What we share, and what we do not

We do not sell the contents of your contact-form messages. The handful of vendors we rely on to run the site, namely our analytics provider, our advertising partners, and the service that delivers our contact form, see only what their function needs. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as we need them to respond, then removed.

This site is written for adults planning a move and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
